‘1000-lb. Sisters’ star Tammy Slaton shows what she ‘actually looks like’ after fans demand she ‘stop the filters’

Tammy Slaton has shocked fans after she decided to go au naturel in a recent video posted to social media.

The 37-year-old 1000-lb. Sisters star decided to take to Instagram to shut down a troll who kept asking her about what she “actually looks like.”

In a comment, they stated: “Stop the filters. What do you actually look like??” to which Tammy replied in a video message saying: “This is what I really look like. Okay? Have a nice day, babe.”

Hundreds of fans took to the comments to try and offer the star some kind words amidst the hate.

“She LITERALLY films a TV SHOW without a filter and has been open and vulnerable. I’m not understanding why anyone has an issue with filters on here. Again, A WHOLE TV SHOW WITH NO FILTER,” wrote one user while another agreed writing: “What do you mean what do you actually look like? She was on TV! She likes filters leave her alone Jesus.”

“You are QUEEN Tammy for a reason. Don’t let them get to you,” a third stated.

And this user said that the filters are merely just for fun and they’re not changing Tammy’s full appearance: “The filters are not transforming her into Kim kardashian. ppl are so damn d.umb [sic].”

“She looks like this because she’s lost hella weight!” another offered while this Instagram user urged Tammy do whatever makes her happy stating: “Tammy u use filters as much as u want!!! We loooove u !!!”

The news of Tammy’s weight loss comes shortly after the star was rushed to hospital during a season of her hit show on TLC titled 1000-lb. Sisters.

The reality TV star had been battling serious health concerns for years now including a bad gall bladder, high blood pressure, and thyroid problem, but things took a turn for the worst in 2022 when she suffered with a blood clot in her lung in April 2022.

Not only that but during the fourth season of the show, fans were given an insight into just how bad Tammy’s health had deteriorated following a sudden breathing difficulty that saw her being rushed to the hospital.

We then see Tammy getting a tracheotomy – which is a surgical procedure that creates a hole in the throat to insert a breathing tube – in order to support her.

Speaking to her doctor later on in the season, the reality TV star asks if she can get approval for her bariatric surgery, to which Dr. Eric Smith replies: “I told you Tammy, you have real risks,” before her brother Chris chimes in saying: “If she doesn’t get the surgery, she’s gonna die because of her weight.”

Tammy’s family has no choice but to watch on as she continued her health battles, fearing that “she’s gonna end up dead.”

Despite the scare, thankfully Tammy was able to undergo weight loss surgery and now spends her time on social media showing off her new look – as she should!
